Privacy
Draft. A plain-language version written before launch, to be reviewed against the Australian Privacy Principles before the first real reservation.
What we collect
When you reserve a bike: your name and mobile number. When you contact us: your name, email and message. When you join the used-bike list: your email, the bike and your postcode, used only to tell you when listing opens. When a shop registers interest: the shop's name, address, and a contact name, email and phone. Shops: the shop's name, suburb, phone, hours, login email and what it lists. We do not collect payment details, because no payment happens here.
What we do with it
Your name and mobile go to the one shop you reserved with, so it can confirm the bike and be in touch. They go nowhere else. Contact messages are read by the two people who run Wheelyard. Searches are counted in aggregate so shops can see what riders near them are looking for; that count is never tied to a person.
Where it is kept
On servers in Sydney, Australia, with a hosting provider. Wherever you are in Australia, your details stay in the country. Access is limited to the people who run Wheelyard, and to the shop for its own reservations.
What we do not do
No advertising trackers, no selling or sharing of your details, no marketing email you did not ask for.
Your rights
Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, through the contact page. Reservations are deleted once they are no longer needed by the shop.
